Officials in several Pennsylvania towns are considering ordinances that would regulate yard sales. It has gotten to the point where it has gotten the attention of State Legislators.
Complaints in several townships have overwhelmed switchboards stating that some sales look more like flea markets than yard sales.
Some of the alternatives would be restricting sale days, limiting the number of sales on the property a year, and requiring a permit.
The NFMA encourages its members to push for such legislation and/or ordinances in your Municipality, City or State. |
