State Department of Social Services to consider and solicit input
from the market prior to making a designation or assignment to avoid
potential conflicts.

The National Flea Market Association's objectives are:
- To serve the public interest and to benefit the flea market industry by fostering high standards of business conduct which merits public trust;
- To disseminate information helpful to the flea market industry and to facilitate the exchange of ideas among members;
- To sustain a friendly and cooperative relationship among the flea market industry and the agencies with whom they do business;
- To investigate, endorse, and inform the membership of specific services, programs, and products related to the industry;
- To present information to the public and to governmental agencies that will help them to understand the role of the flea market in the economy
- To encourage legislation and regulations constructive to the industry and to discourage legislation and regulations destructive to both consumers and small businessmen engaged in the flea market industry
- To support the association's Code of Professional Ethics.
